Care Support Services

DLC’s support is person-centred, enabling each young person to grow and develop their skills and independence. We help young people with learning disabilities, Autism, behaviours of concern or other complex needs live comfortably and independently as much as possible.

It helps young people become more self-assured and autonomous resulting in higher self-esteem. Positive Behaviour Support aims to address the needs of young people with behaviours of concern, resulting in a higher quality of life.

Our Supported Care services:

  • We help young adults to stay in or reconnect with their communities, where they can be close to family and friends and use local resources and services.
  • Provide one-to-one assistance in the home or the community, assisting young people in a variety of activities such as gym, shopping, cycling, cinema, parks, drives, swimming, bowling, music therapy, travel training and personal care.,
  • We tailor our assistance to each young person’s everyday activities, whether they are at school, college, training, or work. We can offer extra help in the mornings, evenings, and weekends to help each person live a complete and varied life.
  • We provide young people with ongoing support through our adult services if necessary.

Outcomes for Young people:
